The Fresh Market is opening a new store up in Ashburn, VA at the One Loudoun development (Route 7 & Loudoun County Parkway). You might not have heard of The Fresh Market but they have been expanding aggressively in Virginia and the Southeast region of the US. This will be their 1st store here in Loudoun County.
The origins of The Fresh Market started back in Greensboro NC in 1982 where the founders Ray & Beverly Berry wanted to develop a better grocery store that brought back the feeling of European style markets. Smaller, more intimate stores that caters towards fresher foods and more customer service.
From their website …”Our goal is to become an out of the ordinary food destination store for those who enjoy cooking and good eating. From our bountiful produce and high quality meats to our convenient prepared foods and gourmet cooking ingredients, you will find that we are commited to variety, freshness and, above all else, quality. The careful selection of our buyers ensures that only the best can be found at The Fresh Market.”
I am excited about The Fresh Market opening their new store here in Ashburn and competing against some of the other groceries that have really flourished the past few years including Harris Teeter and Wegmans. The more competition means better pricing, fresher foods, and better customer service (that is if they hope to stay in business).
This is also good news for the homeowners that live in the the One Loudoun area of Ashburn as it will give the homeowners another convenient location for some great food, service, and prices.
